The student is given the first warning by moving down to yellow.
TIME OUT!
The student is moved from the instructional area and must participate from the designated area for 5 minutes.
BEHAVIOR CONFERENCE
The student will meet with Mrs. Buti. They will complete a “Think Sheet” to reflect upon the behavior. The “Think Sheet” will be sent home to be signed by a parent and returned. Snacks:
2B is a “Nut-Free” zone. Students can only bring a healthy morning snack. All other snacks will be returned to the student's lunch bag to be eaten in the lunch room. Please be sensitive to our classroom allergies and comply to this rule. Thank you! |
WATER BOTTLES:
The students are allowed to keep a water bottle at their table throughout the year. Please, no juice or sports drinks. Please only send bottles with a “sport top” to avoid spills. We sit at tables, one spill can ruin 5 students' work! Thank you! |
BIRTHDAYS:
We love to celebrate birthdays in 2B!
The students should pick out a book from home or from school to share as their special birthday book. Students are welcome to read it, or I will share it with the class. They will also be in charge of picking our "Go Noodle" brain breaks that day!
Parents are asked not to send any food or other treat to celebrate their child’s birthday. We are faced with many children within our schools that are highly allergic to peanuts, peanut oil products, and other food ingredients. We are sensitive to their health issues. We are also concerned with the amount of interruptions to the instructional day that the distribution and consumption of birthday treats can bring. We believe that recognition of students is important and will continue to celebrate the birthdays of our students with special recognitions in the classroom. Parents may want to consider making a donation to the library to purchase a book for the library or read a book to the class to honor their birthday at the younger grades.
Thank you for your help and cooperation in promoting Healthy Happy Birthdays at Indian Trail School!
