What do picking out a pair of shoes and picking out a book have in common? Surprisingly A LOT!

I- Choose the Book
P-Purpose- Why do I want to read it?
I-Interest- Does it interest me?
C-Comprehension- Do I understand what I am reading?
K- Know the words- Do I know what most of the words MEAN?

We talked about how a certain pair of shoes may interest you and have a purpose, but they may not be a good fit -like Mr. Buti's cool green & black running shoes! We talked about how you may love to stomp in the rain, but Mrs. Buti's rainboots might not be a good fit. You may not like dancing at fancy parties, so you wouldn't choose Mrs. Buti's fancy heels! You have to pick shoes AND books that have a purpose, interested you and are a GOOD FIT.
