This week students began using Dreambox in the classroom during our Math Rotations. Only 2nd grade is piloting this program and so far, the kids love it. Think video game plots with visual/interactive math lessons. I am sending a letter home today that explains how to access it online (the kids know how to get to it from my blog.) and how to add it to your ipad.
Their website says, "DreamBox is PreK-8 math solution driven by a technology that's as unique as the students and educators who need it, love it, and use it to go to the next level."
The kids say:
"It's awesome. You learn all kinds of math." - Cameron
"It's fun because of all the characters and math games." - Sophia
"You can go on quests and you want to do the math." - Jacob
"The math is fun."- Ty
"The problems are fun and you get to find stuff on the challenge." - Honor
Here's how to get on Dreambox from my blog:
1) Helpful Links
2) Math Sites
3) Dreambox
4) Homeroom-Buti
5) Click on your name/character, and select your picture password.
