Dear Second Grade Parents,
Last week we started Writer’s Workshop. The room was filled with excitement about the stories these young authors were bursting to share! Because many stories are a work-in-progress, we will be storing their writing in a 3-ring binder. We would like to personalize their binders by making collages to put inside the plastic cover. This personal touch will make your child even more excited to do Writer’s Workshop and help generate writing ideas.
In order to do so, we are asking that you help your child gather materials he/she can use to make a collage. Some ideas are listed below:
