We have just finished reading Horrible Harry and the Holidaze. We have learned about five different winter holidays celebrated around the world and the traditions that go along with each. We found many common themes that link all of them, such as celebrating with friends and family, special foods, activities, and gift giving.
To honor this gift giving season we have decided to do a Secret Santa Gift Exchange on FRIDAY. However, instead of going out and buying something new, we are going to give gifts we already have, "White Elephant" gifts. I have told them that they may give anything that is used but is still good. Such as a puzzle with all the pieces or a toy that isn't broken but that isn't played with anymore, a book that they have already read is another great idea!
Please help your child find and wrap their gift (wrap with whatever you can find at home too!) Make sure to write who the gift is FOR on the outside but do NOT write who it is FROM. We are going to be making guesses!
